N Lamping From the Hanging Gate along Weaverham back streets to Owley Wood. Through Owley Wood to Wallerscote Road, then via footpaths and roads to Thorn Wood which led back to the Hanging Gate. Route Map 3.9

G Miller Church Lane, Gawsworth by the Church walk East from Gawsworth Hall across fields to Woodhouse End Rd.From Take track over field to Macclesfield Canal. At Bridge No 47 leave Tow Path & go through Dane Moss Nature Park. After Nature Park the route follows the field edge to a road. A short walk on the road led to a style at junction of Woodhouse Lane laed to walk across a field emerging back on Church Lane ..

R Miller Kings Gate Kelsall along Tirley Lane to summer trees & Sandstone Trail then pass Black Firs & Willington Wood on to Tirley Garth left onto path to Tirley Farm. Past the farminto Primrose Wood, follow the path with thield fence on left back to the car park. Excellent lunch at VR Abbey Arms

G W Scott From the Marbury Lane car park follow track with river on left, cross Witton brook, through woodland and open groud to Marbuy Lanne, Pass Dairy House farm, to canal, take tow path to Ollershaw Lane towards Northwich, Take Saltscape Trail to pass between between Neuman's Flash & Witton Lime beds, @ Marbury Lane turn to car park.

J Adshead From Ascol Drive, around Plumley Nature Reserve and via estate roads and fields to Holford Moss, returning via farm tracks past Holford Hall to Ascol Drive. Route Map A good lunch at The Smoker

J Chrimes From Station Inn over fields to Airport Runway . Then via Lady Lane, Davenport Lane.& fields to St Wilfreds, more fields to Staion Lane & Pub . Good meal.

J Feltham From Fox and Barrel via Utkinton Lane to a mill pond, on to Utkinton Hall. Theb over fields (some very muddy) back to the pub.. We had to eat at the Blue Cap due to the pub being closed on a Monday.

N Lamping From the George & Dragon past the church behind houses to the road tos Northwich, Leave the road over fields to Marston & Lion Salt works, proceed along the Trent and Mersey canal to Marbury Park. Around the west end of Marbury Meer and return to G Budworth.

G Miller From Watch Lane Flash to Trent Mersey Canal, leave alongside Railway, pass Elton Flashes Nature Reserve. Walk short way on Hall Lane, cross fields by stream & return to Watch Lane Flash via Watch Lane passing Limerick Hill Cottage on route.

G W Scott Leave Knypersley Reservoir car park , left to dam & steps down its side. Follow R Trent & canal feeder. Left @ Tongue Ln. 0.75ml left ' Sands Ln after next junction bear right onto track. At endof track, cross road to Lions Paw Farm. Skirt to left of farm & follow track by R Trent. Over stream & into woods. Decend along tracks to Knypersley Pool. Turn Right & follow path to dam between 2 lakes. Bear left to return to car park . Excellent lunch @ The Talbot

J Adshead Vicarage Quarry car park, VIA Dingers Hollow to leading to Macclesfield Forest, via forest track & moorland path to base of Shutingsloe summit. Here, the group split , 3 to path over summit & 4 around the base, meetn where the 2 routes join. Continue descent to farm track leading to the road and car park. Lunch at the Leathers Smithy Arms in Langley, washed down with cask beer and drinks of choice

J Feltham From Kingsley Community Centre to R Weaver. Along an overgrown riverside path to the caravan park. Back to Kingesly via Crewwood Common & Ball lanes . Leigh Arms for a good meal.

J Chrimes From The Crown Inn, Goostrey left to Church Bank. Lleft turn to The Bongs. Follow several paths through woods & fields bto Appleton Lane. Take several lanes before going past the closed Red Lion, past the church and back to pub.

N Lamping From the Blue Cap carpark cross A556 to Pettypool Activity Centre, pass activity centre to woods over bridge, turn right to Daleford lane Re-enter woods opposite Caravan park. Down Sherrington rough to Church Hill Wood cross swamp using board walk and return to the Blue Cap via Cockpit Lane. Started walk at 0900 to beat the the worst of the heat

G Miller from Hermitage Drive, Holmes Chapel track down to Stone Bridge over R Dane. Aalong Dane towards Twemlow Viaduct, before Viaduct left through wood and to Twemlow Lane. Pass Bidlea Ice Cream & Turkey Farm returning to Tremlow Lane . Turning Left and looking for a track on the right which took us through three fields before descending back down to the River Dane, followed the River back to the Stone Bridge and back up the track to the starting point. Lunch @ George & Dragon

R Miller From the Crown Goostrey follow main road to village hall, take the path past Dromedary lodge to Hermitage Farm, turn back towards Blueslate Farm and on towards Goostree School and the Crown.

G W Scott From Gadbrook Park over Gad Brook & fields near Park Farm to Shurlach Lane. Over Davenham Rd & along Manor Lane to Whatcroft Hall. Return via canal through tranquil rural settings. Excellent lunch @ Old Broken Cross. Two extra for lunch.

J Adshead Davenport Arms to Oak Lane, see the oldest tree in Cheshire. The 1200 year old Marton Oak at Marton Oak House. School Lane & track to Marton Heath & Great Tidnok Farm. Over fields to Higher Mutlow Farm & tracks to Lower Mutlow Farm & Cockmoss Lane. Cockmoss Lane fields to A34 & Marton Church. Brief visit to Church, the oldest “half timbered” church in Europe still in use. Back to pub, for a good meal & drink. Route Map

Cross Bypass & turn right on Hockenhull Lane, left into High Street. Cross A54 via gap in houses, along several fields to Lansdowne Road to pub.

J Adshead Cottage Loaf to Thurstaston Hill, with views over the Dee estuary and Liverpool Bay,over rocky/sandy trails to Royden Park through woods to Arrowe Brook Lane. Ffollow bridleway to Harrock Wood & path through wood to fields & paths to Irby village.Across fields to return to the Cottage Loaf, where we enjoyed good meals washed down by beverages of choice.
